Confidence: Own it!

Not a virtual reality nor a talk-show that you sit back and derive pleasure as you watch and listen to other prospects of human success but rather, a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities. An ability to confide within thyself and prove to oneself the true reach of your input. It doesn’t come in plenty nor on a weighing pan what matters most, the little that you have in you that will keep you pushing to reach utmost greatness. Your goal! Confidence is not bought but gained. It is costly to earn someone’s trust but losing it, is not even worthwhile a penny. The feeling that people have confidence in you, the reliability on you is worth the toil you worked so hard to achieve. “You are a piece of the puzzle of someone else’s life.

You may never know where you fit, but others will fill the holes in their lives with pieces of you,” Bonnie Arbon.

It takes courage to do something, but without the confidence you cannot actually achieve it. If you have it in you then action shall be more frequent in your lifetime than sheer provocations. Confidence is built step by step even when a child starts walking he doesn’t believe in himself and that is why he stumbles but he had the confidence to take the first step. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall down, what should eat you up is the question, Do I have the courage to stand up again and take to the podium and show the world am not quite the loser you knew. I am going to pick up my shreds one by one surely make a tight knot and face my fears, challenge what ought to be challenged, conquer my dilemmas and achieve what is rightfully mine. Research has proven beyond doubt that not many that fall have the courage to pick themselves up and usually need a helping hand. Why?

How do I build my confidence? All you have to do is pick up yourself from the puddle learn to listen do less of the talking, react more. Meditation won’t do the trick. No dear brethren. All you have to do is sit down and have a thoughtful retreat of your mind. Have the five basic questions answered. Why? Who? Where? When? What? These questions actually stand for:

– What do I have?

– Why do I have it?

– When will I put it to use?

– Who will it be beneficial to?

– Where have I reached in attaining its purpose?

“I am convinced all of humanity is born with more gifts than we know. Most are born geniuses and just get de-geniused rapidly.” Buckminster Fuller

Having the confidence in oneself to build a life rather than living one in fear of what it might it cost to achieve that wonderland is quite not different than riding a rollercoaster, you will have to get off and snap back to reality. Even the great Albert Einstein, Napoleon Bonaparte achieved what they did because they listened to the young boys inside them “Go on don’t give up”. All it takes is listening to your inner voice and knowing that giving up is not an option be confident in all your endeavours and be hopeful to succeed. Even the world wasn’t created in one day. So it takes patience to achieve confidence to do something worthwhile your abilities.

“The courage to be is the courage to accept oneself, in spite of being unacceptable.” Paul Tillich.

It may be hectic and many develop a phobia towards certainties. Do not be among the many, be yourself and grasp confidence with utmost agility and be sure to reap what you sow.

Build a life, Don’t live one!
